    How Much To Get A Exhaust Welded On

    how much should it cost to take out the old exhaust and put in a sports 1 its got all the fitting kit and just need put on and welded

    do you mean welded??? cos most exhausts just hang with rubbers.
    0-60 in 6.5 secs and 48mpg- winner!

    its a new bk box i bought from ebay just need to old 1 of and new bk box on m8

    I paid £50, but that included getting a Flange welded on, because me being me I forgot to check that i had a sleave before I bought the backbox

    well i am a welder and fabricator, i would of done it for you, but your a bit of a long distance from me...

    i wouldnt think it would cost that much tho, its an easy job!

    Right first of all lets establish what exactly the situation is!!!

    Have u got a link to the new backbox? Also maybe a picture of the underside of ur car showing the existing join between backbox & centre section.

    Providing they are the same fitment (either 2bolt flange or sleeve fitting) then it'll be a straight forward swap - may need some gentle persuasion and some WD40 but nothing major.

    If on the other hand the fitment differs then a flange-sleeve or sleeve-flange adaptor will be required. Either custom built jobbie or maybe an off the shelf adaptor.
    If this is required - Id personally just pop down to a local exhaust fabricator for advice - slip him some beer money in his break and it should be sorted!

    Hopefully they are the same and its a quick fix.
