SATA II Western Dig Raptor 2 drives would be nice

Kingston HyperX ram would also be a nice choice too.

I'd have opted for the E6600 Core2Duo Conroe chip instead of the AM2 chip.

Kingston HyperX is what I have sitting next to me to go in my PC though if money wasnt an option I'd have some OCZ Platinum RAM (Or similar).

Better floating points than intel. Wise choice for a gamer

I have gone with AMD because i have had intel computers all my life-
i cant comment on the performance of an Amd because ive never used one.
so therefore why not build one lol

if it turns out crap il probably build an intel one too.

ive heard a lot of people have used kingston, corsair and ocz memory but how the hell do you afford it.

i might have to be a bit boring to start off with and buy budget 800 mhz 6400 memory which retails at £45 for 1G

i can always buy the more expensive stuff when the system is complete.

You could always buy a massive case loaded with fans to keep everything cool specially if you overclock, maybe something like this:

Comes with 7 8cm Fans, 300watt PSU, space for 6 HDD, lockable door, matching key & mouse

It's actually common knowledge that the Core2Duo's are far superior to the AMD FX chips, and their the high end AMD's.

Thats why AMD is releasing a new line later this year.

A few year back with the P4 and its "Netburst" architecture the AMD were infact better for floating point operations which is why I ran an AMD but now its Intel that is king again.

PS: If you want a top notch case, invest in a "LIAN LI"
