Very difficult to say, I'm sure there are bargains to be had but you should look over it very carefully and it would have to be cheap. Also it's not as easy to sell on a stolen recovered car for the same reasons.

Hmm can't say I would to be honest.

It depends how cheap, and also it would be benefical if you could obtain some kind of record to tell you what damage was done (if any) etc etc.

It could help put your mind at ease if you go ahead with the purchase.

As long as it has been fully repaired and drives ok can't see what the problem with it would be.

Only problem i can see is selling it on like Sten said, but if you plan on keeping it for a few years thats not really worth worrying about.

As long as its in good nick (excuse the pun) and you like it, go for it.

As it wasn't your car when it was stolen, you don't have the that feeling inside of imagining someone else sat in your seat ragging it around.

Theres a stolen recovered GSI on autotrader. Its not got half leather seats in which I assume (although I'm no expert on GSIs) is because they were nicked (got standard sports seats out of an sxi/sri)!

I saw an SRI-t too that was stolen recovered - but it put me off as its stolen recovered. Theres also one with the rear apron and side skirts missing as well around at the moment...
