I get a fluttery noise when i let off when on boost (all OEM parts on mine). It's just air bouncing off the wastegate as it shuts.

The noise your hearing is the boost reverbrating off your turbo blades, its called compressor stall i beleive. Basically your wastegate isn't opening and the boost left over once you have let off the throttle has to go somewhere so it goes backs towards the turbo. This can cause serious damage to your turbo and will kill it pretty quickly if you leave it. I had it on mine not so long ago was one of the boost pipes from the inlet manifold to the rear boost solenoid had burst one of its rubber connectors so had a leak. Best bet is too cheack all you boost lines for a possible leak.

i also used to get this noise - the boost would throw one of the boost hoses off the back of the block - check to see if this has happened too

^^^ it will only happen after you have been on boost. An aftermarket DV might possibly help maybe? (was replying to turbodara question here)

Mine did this when I had the baileys dv doing all the work (one way valve after the teeing into a vacuum hose to keep the OEM wastegate shut)

Only if there wasn't enough boost presure to release the Baileys then the charge air rushes back throught the turbo blades, sounds great but as said before is bad news for the turbo, as soon as I found this out I took off the one way valve so the OEM wastegate can release the charge air at lower boost pressures, makes the Baileys quieter but its a smoother setup for the engine.

I had this really bad on mine i managed to virtually stop it by running a seperate Dv as well as the Oem one.. On mine it was the Oem Dv was having trouble dumping the Boost. Fitting the external Dv helps it along nicely
