    z18xe exhaust manifold nuts - can I buy replacements from bnq

    Theyre 10mm, but are they just ordinary steel nuts?

    Sorry but it's for the best

    If you look at the OE nuts they are slightly oval down the thread, so when you screw them down the stud they deform slightly and grip better. Off the shelf ones are usually a sloppy fit and only get tight when they start to clamp the component.

    Also being copper, they aren't gonna rust solid on the stud

    does that mean 8mm? im sure i took em off the engine i just broke with a 10mm socket!!!

    M8 is metric 8mm dia on the thread. The socket size refers to the distance across the flats on the hexagon.

    An M8 bolt normally needs a 13mm socket
