    Buying a GSI...

Looking into buying one, as title suggests, just wondering what to look out for (as I have never bought a turbo car before) and is there anything specific to the gsi that should definately be checked?

Also, is getting what i would call a high milage car a problem (60,000+) when it concerns turbo cars?

Hi mate i have just got my self a Gsi
the milage dont matter that much as long as the car has been looked after
I was lucky i found a 03 car with Low miles that a mate has had from new
only been around the Nurburgring a few times but well looked after FSH

60k isn't a problem for the engine or the car. But bear in mind if the turbo hasn't yet been replaced it will need to be done soon unless it has been looked after very well.

Reading posts on here they seem to go between 40-90k. Mine broke at 70k

95k zlet here - I did replace the turbo at about 80-85k though.

Have a quick look around, there is (or was?) a 'buyers guide'

It (as already said) depends how well looked after they are.
