    cdr500 fitment

Anyone know if the cdr500 cd player will fit in other makes of car or just in vauxhall's? I would like to put one in my MX6.

    Cheers

it'll fit with a bit of work, but you won't have a display

Thanks Ffoeg. How stupid of me, forgot the display. Ok anyone know what internal bits these have so i can buy a similar cd unit with a display. Only because i think it gives really good sound output, i love it in my astra and wouldn't change for an aftermarket one. I suppose i could get hold of a display and bodge it in where the clock is in the MX6, would get a problem with the temperature though!

For the effort and cost involved I think you'd be better off with an aftermarket unit. I imagine it would be better spec'd than the cdr500 too. Just my opinion but it's what I'd do.
