    Oil Seals 2.2SRi MK4

I have just changed my crank seal and done a full oil and filter change.

Now when the car has been sat for a while (overnight or outside work for 8hrs) for about the first 90secs or so of driving i get smoke coming out of the back. Could this be the oil seals?

If so are these easy to do / whats involved?

    thanx

That sounds suspiciously like valve stem oil seals.

I can't see what relationship this has to changing the timing case end crank oil seal tho

could it just be the fact i have fixed one leak so its now gone to the next weakest link??

are the stem oil seals changable? if so easy job i caould tackle myself or is it a garge/Vauxhall job?

it could be that you never noticed before?

anyway, on the Z22 it's a head off job, so not easy or cheap, if you're paying someone to do it

The best advice I can give you is buy a haynes manual.

you'll need to take the cam chain off to get the head off so you may as well stick a new chain on while your at it
