    Cruise Control

Had a go in a 06 plate 1.9 CDTi 150 SRi 6 speed last week.

Had a lot of fun, but missed the cruise control that I have in my Vectra. Can it be retro fitted easily and fairly cheaply, as I am seriously thinking about getting it.

    Cheers

Yes it can. You'll need a new stalk and a trip to Vauxhall for some tech2 reprogramming to enable the function.

You may also require the clutch switch.

    Clutch Switch (Manual Only) 55701395

Fit the new stalk. Behind the speedo you'll find a 3 pin wire which you'll need to run down to the clutch pedal. If the clutch switch does not have the connector for the plug then you will need to replace the switch. Once done then you'll need to take a trip to Vauxhall and get it activated.

Out of interest, what's the total cost for getting this done (parts and labour)?

    £30 for the stalk
    £10 for the switch
£50 for some tech 2 lovin

£90.00 in total (with you doing the hard work).

If its a diesel it will already have the clutch switch fitted, check at the top of the pedal - it looks like the brake light switch fitted to the brake pedal

Why do you want to remove the clocks?, the stalk is easy, you need a small allen key or terminal driver and push it down the groove in the centre of the back (nearest the dash) of the stalk then pull the stalk towards the passenger side of the car
