My Astra Cabriolet Seats are hurting my back

Does anyone else experience this. I've only had the car a week and my lower back is killing me!! Im only 21, but I do suffer from a bad back and neck occassionally. Anything I can do? They are Vauxhall leather seats with height adjustment, lumbar support etc. Cant seem to get it adjusted right. Dont really want to sell the car...I sold my Golf because the seats hurt so much.

Why not replace them with sports seats from Recaro or something? They are designed to support you everywhere. I must say my seats are cack they are the ones without the lumbar support and leg extensions. Driving anything over 2 hours kills my back. I'm gonna change mine for definate.

I like the red leather in my car though, partially the reason why I bought it! How much are Recaros likely to cost?

Yeh ive just got the coupe and my back was aching. Play around with the tilt and how luch lumbar support you have. My back is fine now!

This also may hav happened because you back was always used to your old seat and may hjust take a bit of ajusting!

Yeah, been playing for days now! Will give it another go tonight!

My last car was a VX220, so the seats were rock hard and really supportive, really nice on my back!

Play around with the adjustments, seat and steering column.

My CDX has sports seats as I ordered the leather pack. They support brilliantly (I've got severe arthritis almost everywhere).

Vauxhall used to do a general seating posture guide so it might be worth getting in touch with Vauxhall Customer Care.

If you have no luck with adjustments, try and find someone with GSi or something and have a seat in their car, then you can see if it is best to go done a deat change route. You could alwas get GSi reacro's and get the centre panel re-trimmed in red leather?

    Or retrofit VX220 seats
