    Nailin the tyre ! suggestion

    ok

somehow a rather big nail has become embedded in my front passenger tyre.

its right on the edge, therefore i am presuming i cant get a repair on it, as im pretty sure it has to be pretty central for a repair?

Just want to see what people think as i dont wanna go down to the tyre place for them to say i need a new tyre regardless.

Let me know what you think

The guy that just fixed my puncture said if if nearer to the side wall than half way accross the outer most tread block then it can't be repaired.

Depends on tyre design but that block is about 1.5 inches wide

They can be repaired but cost more and have to be sent away.

Where I used to work we used to send a few away if they were expensive tyres and had loads of tread. Used to cost about £45-£50 to be done.
The truth is always the truth even if you haven't realised it yet...
