    running with 2 headunits?

Can this be done i have done a search and cant yield much information unless im not looking in the right places.

    So plan is
i have a jvc dvd player ATM with a 3.5" Screen which is really good

I have been offered a brand new JVC cassette player with 12 CD changer for boot

So im thinking can this be done running with the DVD h/u and also the Cd cassete changer also? also how much works involved me and wires dont mix very well

Let me know if you have any ideas

In my astra I have 2 Pioneer headunits running My CD/MP3 player on the bottom and a 6.5" automatic DVD screen on the top , all I had to do was get a splitter for the connections on the back (cant remember the name for it) also you will need a split ariel which you can get from halfords or motorworld both of these parts are already built so just go to a decent car audio shop and they should be able to sort you out

now when it comes to speakers I have my DVD player front phono outputs going into the Imput on the CD player so that when I select AUX on the CD player i can have music from the DVD (You get me)

so basiclay am saying have the Phono output from your Casste/Multichanger running into the imput of your DVD unit (assuming you want the DVD player powereing the speakers) this way you can select the music from the Casste/Multichanger throught the Aux on the DVD (You still understand).

its easy to do just need to get all the corret parts
pic of my setup (but i also have to deal with the audio and visual form the PS2 and AUX mini jack that i have by the handbrake, god this is fun LOL)

i used to have 2 head units. did the same as Q22ube but i split the wires myself

can you not run the cd changer from the dvd head unit
What is cross posting? Is it when you get angry and post it on a forum?

if there both jvc are they not compatible use the dvd player in the dash and connect the cd changer in the boot and stick the casset player on ebay al you need is the lead to connect the headunit to cd changer

can the dvd player play mp3's burnt onto a dvd disc. If so there is no need for a disc changer as you could fit around 30 albums on one dvd. Could be a better/easier solution + it saves having to go into the boot and mess about swapping discs around.

I guess your JVC headunit's a KD-AVX1? If so it has multiplay control so as long as it's not a old multiplay you should be fine

Do you have the model number of the multiplay?

Whats the model number of the radio cassette it came with then?

From the 2005 JVC cataloge it does look like the ones in there, it should say CH-X1500 or CH-X550 somewhere on it, maybe the underneath
