    It's because the Z18XE has a close radio box fitted ( F18 )

The X20XEV has the F23 fitted IIRC.

The X20XEV will have a better top end though.

not sure if there is a vast difference between them, but the X20XEV was fitted with two different gearboxes, F18 and F23. to identify which is fitted, look at the gearknob, if reverse is top left = F18 if reverse is bottom right = F23

    here we go again

oh yes, the 1.8 with less power and less torque is much faster than the sloth like 2.0 cos the 1.8 has a magic gearbox.

Don't believe everything you read in Total Vauxhall.

    ok
When I spoke to courtny about a 2.5V6 Transplant they said to fit a F23 gearbox But............ if I wanted a faster acelataring car over a top end car then would I be better going for a closer ratio gearbox

I know this is nothing really to do with the main question but your talking about gearboxs so it got me thinking

Yup I agree with Col on this one..... I love my X20XEV and it pulls very well.

You have to bear in mind to that the X20XEV is a heavier engine.

The 2.0 SRi is a very good car and will surprise you against things which are known for being quicker.....lol if that made any sense
