Question Adding Parking Sensors and Warranty

Has anyone added parking sensors to their new astra? My wife has a new sport hatch and now wants parking sensors. We can buy them direct from Vauxhall for £75 but they want a massive amount to fit them which brings the cost up to around £300

Now i can probably easily get them fitted by my brother in law as he has his own bodyshop.

Does anyone know where this would stand in the way of possibly voiding the warranty??

    Cheers

Our local Vauxhall garage send all their parking aids to us to be fitted so it can't effect the warrenty that much

The only way it could effect any warrenty is if the wiring causes something to blow up which is unlikely

    Thanks for that.

Do you know exactly what come in the kit then? Also what about colour coding? Do they come ready sprayed to match?

    Cheers

To be honest the only kits i've seen are for the MK4 and they don't look all that IMO. I don't remember seeing them colour coded either

We fit our own ones for them at half the price but I bet vauxhall still charge them out at £300 and we colour code them if they supply the paint

Doens't really help you out though

Q22ube there used to be parking aids that consisted of a metal strip that went behind the bumper and decected objects while you were moving. Not good at all to be honest

I can only go by the sensors we fit and they are quite small and can be colour coded so they blend in more. They come in 2 colours to so the silver would probably match yours quite well

Have a look for steel mate parking aids
