Be prepared for seized nuts on your old cat so spray em up and have a cup of tea.Even then, you may shear 1 or 2 off.
If you can, have an assistant help you to hold the precat in place while you are fitting it up.
Exercise some patience to fit it right and listen out for any leaks once fitted.
At the end of the day it takes as long as it takes, I done mine in about 3/4 of an hour using an outside pit, in the pi55ing rain and at midnight after many beers, with the aid of a fellow beer lover.

    i have done 2

mine was ok all lined up 1st time,

    2nd 1
the bolts snapped while taking the old cat off, kinda made it easier tho
the clamp just wouldnt line up tho. eventually got it sorted. best having someone to hold the clamp and someone tightening it

on the advice of Coo i used firegum on the clamp end an it seems to have helped
What is cross posting? Is it when you get angry and post it on a forum?

A couple of last tips, take care with the lambda sensor and make sure you let the pre cat cool before removal

    Thanks lads
i just done it and it went ok i had little bit of trouble getting the pipe to seal against the turbo but done it now and went for quick run
Is it normal for the new pipe to smoke a tiny bit as my old man said its just new,its not the turbo that is smokeing either!

    Cheers
