    VXR Brakes

After having numerous problems getting some custom made i have plumped for an off the shelf solution.

Anyone got or used either - any feedback or opinions ....

    AP Racing VXR Branded

343mm 2 piece discs, i prefer the look. Alittle more expensive though

    888/Alcon Setup

343mm single piece disc, i can get these easier, and there alittle cheaper but i dont like the look of them as much

I am looking at doing the Alcon 4 pot conversion at some point to my coupe T, but the fitting can be a pain to fit and work properly. Keith (K3fus) is doing the VXR setup to his coupe T.

I dont mind paying the £1600 for them, but i prefer the look of the 2 piece discs as i want the bells anodised aswell.

bit late in answering but have you made a decision yet Steve?

as for the AP's, very nice set up, have now used on track and they greatly outbrake the standard jobbies, get a bit of heat in them and the stopping power is second to none with running approx 300bhp, would highly recommend, good for all round use.

I have got Alcon to make a setup with the best of both worlds, however they will only do a run of 5 to make it worth their while - understandable.

Its taking the floating discs technology and look of the AP's but mating it with the larger Alcon caliper - best of both worlds. Works out cheaper than either kit aswell

Problem is getting buyers for the other 4, if no one bites soon then i'll jsut have to pay for a single set to be made.

IF i had to choose between the 888 setup and the AP one i would plump for the AP's. All the 888 ones i have seen the centre is rusted and looks nasty. However i have heard of problems with the retaining bolts used on the AP's too - hence still holding out on the custome Alcon setup.

i believe the problem with the retaining bolts was experienced during the early development stages but not an issue i have come across or heard about from anyone else i know who have also fitted, hope you can sort out another 4 buyers mate.
