does anyone know how much companies charge to do this
What is cross posting? Is it when you get angry and post it on a forum?

that seems high to me, but i dont have alot of experience in it, ask in a local ICE shop, especially if you buy the bits from them they usually are pretty good,

You get what you pay for to be honest.

Go to a big company with a big reputation for doing top work and you'll pay top money, expecially on custom installation.

Go to a smaller independent and you can get it done a bit cheaper.

If your still looking to get a HU fitted head over to G-Tech, 17 Bellshill Road, Bothwell, 01698 858 551. They are next to Autoglass.

They are top notch blokes, I've seen their work and it's awesome.

They have a project car at the moment where they are putting the MTX Jackhammer into a 106!! Should be at some shows this year!

£10-£15 standard fit for H/U dependant on car, plus any costs of facia/wiring adapters etc. Dependant on actual installation sub/amp installs from £30 upwards (£30 for 1st hour on job + £15 per additional hr). Prices courtesy of me (CustomICEd Car Audio) . These are ok prices for deepest darkest Norfolk (no competition in my town, except Halfrauds and they want £30 for a H/U installation ) although I occasionally get larger companies such as Norfolk Car Audio undercutting me on the much bigger jobs (I have to take time off from my day job to do it you see ).

Having looked about a bit it varies for different parts of the country, I'd go to three or four local places if I were you, then play them all off against each other. The smaller companies in particular will give you a decent price just to secure your trade.
