traction control working yes or no?

when i start the car the TC symbol comes on on the dash as its supposed to, like it says in the manual.

but when i think it should work nothing shows on the dash, in the manual it says that when the TC is applied when the wheels spin, it should flash on the dash and you can feel it adjusting, but im not sure if its working

ive done the odd wheelspin to see if anything happens, the car does spin a bit not too bad but i though that TC shoud stop it all together?

TC will never stop the wheelspin all together, but helps to reduce the wheelspin. Got a sri-t myself with TC and I always struggle with wheelspin, bit of a nightmare in the wet and cold as you could imagine! TC light should always come on when TC kicks in and you should be able to feel when it does.

If your looking to spend a bit of money this would help!

If you really wanna test it, wait til it snows again, then find somewhere away from other vehicles and floor it. You'll still get wheel spin, but the engine revs will flick up and down like an epileptic is at the controls.

As long as the light comes on with the ignition and goes out when it's started then I suspect nothings wrong with it at all

I found in the snow you could wheelspin up to 2500 rpm in 1st and it wouldn't let it go any more

Damp roundabout, 2nd gear, floor it, you should see the light flash like fury.

    TC is great.

If you pull away and get the car rolling then floor it the TC stops it wheel spining and the car grips.

It wont stop it spinning if you just drop the clutch
