    PC C: drive memory

just wondering if any PC minded people can help me.

my PC has just told me im running on low memory on the C: drive. thought this was a bit odd seeing as i have 120 gig...or something like that. anyway done a bit of digging and found that the place where i store all my downloaded songs accounts for 98 gig of it. but i only have best part of 500 songs there and didnt think that would take up that much memeory. Also all the songs are shown in my I-tunes list, does this mean they are then also stored separatly in a I-tunes part thus meaning theres 2 copys of the songs or does I-tunes pull through from the original destination?
    sorry for my rambling
    thanks for ure help

There is no reason Why I-Tunes will copy data, so you dont need to worry there.

98Gb, would account for about Twenty Thousand Songs (about 4.5MB each in size)

you best bet is to actually look in this folder and see what is happening.

I have seen a case before where someone had a virus on there PC (appeared to me a normal music file) and when run cause a copy of all of there .mp3 files to be duplicated, and the copies to become hidden.

Its possible that somthing simuliar is happening in your case. Try making hidden files visible:

Open Explorer > Click Tools > Folder Options > View > and tick the show hidden files box > Click Apply/OK

Do you just have music in this folder? Is it possible that you have films in there also? can sometimes be 2+ GB in size each.
