    LED on Keyfob?

Has anyone changed the led on their keyfob?

My LED had gone so I soldered in a 3mm LED but it was too tall so I sanded it down.

Anyone else changed the LED or know of short 3mm leds?

Oh yea sorry. I drilled mine out although munki's just popped out. I then filled the whole with a clear drying glue from the inside. Once dryed, any excess glue can be cut off with a very sharp blade. You also need to get rid of any excess glue from the inside too.

Mark - how come your key has a flat blade with a groove cut in it, mine has a 'normal key' with sharp edges ?!?!

Is it an age thing?? Would changing the ignition barrel to a later model mean I could have a smart flip out key like the Veccy C and Astra H ?

Cause my key is for a Vectra. That photo was just to show what it would look like. Munki has the astra and i have a vectra.
I spend more time on AS then the vectra site, purely for the people are so much nicer.
