    guess what..... central locking

    ok my REMOTE central locking has just failed and i can only open the car by putting the key in the door. its just the remote part becouse both doors still unlock when i do this.

    Ihad the battary changed on the key about 2 weeks ago

    I still have to check the fueses but could it be anything else

    k it worked but now i am worried about lose connections within the car where is the remote terminals so i can check them

    ps do you mean inside the car or the remote

    Yeah sometimes people pack the batteries and terminals together to make sure they make a good contact.

    Think thats about all you can do but for now i'd leave it incase it was just a one off

    check that the battery holder has not broken off inside the key fob. They are renowned for doing this. Quick fix is to solder it back on as i did, but if u cant u will have to wedge it in place with card or summit. Patience and perseverence is all u need.

    If the terminals are loose inside the remte the battery is constantly connecting and disconnecting. If it stays disconnected for a few minutes it looses the coding and needs to be reset
