To strip or not to strip ?????????????

on my astra mk4 3 door i have sprayed my door bump strips the same coulor as my car. now i dont know if i like them cos you can still see the black plastic buubble under the paint.

I have been to my local bodyshop (who have done work on my car and are very good) who have qouted me £150 to fill in the holes behind the strips so it looks like the astra on total vauxhall 66's cover and also do some other touching up around the car. OR they will re spray the doorstrips so that they are smooth for the same price.

so do i get them taken off or do i leave them on, has anybody done this before if so can i have there advice, and experience without them
    thanks

I think they look good with no bump strips, but obviously if this is an everyday car, then you're gonna get bumped bodywork!!!
