    Rolling Roaded the T8 yesterday

I had the pleasure to work on a BMW 335d yesterday (which achieved 326.3bhp and 495.2lbft) so decided to put the T8 on the rollers...

We conducted 4 power runs, and the figures were very consistent throughout (ill add the graphs later once theyre scanned)
    The figures achieved were
162.5bhp and the wheel which is
198.7bhp with an 18% transmission loss, or
    208.3bhp with a 22% transmission loss...
Torque figures were calculated to be
    295lbft at the flywheel
The RR Road we used is not open to the public but is used by several Motor manufacturers and a couple of well known race teams so all in all i was over the moon with the results, more so after we then sat and compared the graphs to other diesels that have been on the RR

TBH i can honestly see the DTH being thee "tuning engine" in the coming years.

As Stu has said, EDS has put together A 240bhp kit which is currently being tested on a Zafira. Im involved with DAP and Regal/EDS in the development of this kit as my personal thoughts are that at 200 the car is very balanced.

I know we all yearn for more power, and BIG figures but at what cost?? I personally dont want to lose the driveability that i have now, so with DAP/Regal/EDS are planning on adding this kit to an Astra within the next few weeks... (and no it wont be mine )

So to answer your question, there is more to come from the T8/DTH including an induction kit which has recently produced an extra 10bhp on top of a map/Green system

They do, and ive seen graphs from T8 which have acheived these figures but not from this RR.

Its an age old argument where RR's are concerned and i personally dont have a problem with the 295

Im sure if i went to every RR in the land, id find one that gave me 330, one that gave me 350lbft, u know the score
