    Quick question regarding driving convictions

NO not me... thank god! Ive already got enough

Anyone know the usual penalty for "Driving without due care and attention" or at least a rough guide on possible sentences.

I know its a pretty vague question but just need some idea

I appreciate its probs on the DVLA site somewhere but anyone been charged with this in the past and can give some clues....for instance the DVLA site says I should have got 6pts for my "faux pas" yet I didnt get any....

Advice from anyone whos been there or knows someone who has.

    Thanks in advance ppl

I was going to be charged with it after hitting a wall at 3am (no other vehicles involved and no witnesses) but they sent me on a driving course instead - which cost me £130 Was very good though - police instructor taught me how to drive fast safely

If they plead guilty, or if they don't and are found guilty. Otherwise they might find they are fine.

Think we'de need to know the specifics of what happenned Geordie before we could make a better assessment. And knowing what the plea is gonna be would help too.

    A bit related:

In East Lothian, a particular sheriff is particularly harsh on people who commit motoring offences - his daughter was killed by a drink driver some years ago. I'd guess it all depends on who/what you're up against because all of these things have a scale and they can slot you in wherever they see fit!

And luckily for English people, we don't still live in the Wild West, we have Police, Courts and Magistrates, rather than Sheriffs!!!
