    rattling noise

    noticed i had a rattling oise from the engine bay on the drivers side. its a 1.8 sxi y plate. anyone have any ideas what it could be

    Water pump is on the side of the engine between the engine and the airbox. Dont think there is a way of looking at it to see if it right. Be warned if it is that and it goes your cam belt will come off and fubar engine if i remember right. But others will be along to help ya a bit more so dont take what I say as gosble

    i thought the water pump was only suspect on the turbo models

    Sorry mate you weren't specific engine bay, drivers side doesn't give me a lot to go on.

    Is it bottom middle or top of the engine?
    Near the cabin or near the grill?
    Its a jam thing
