Most would say vxl 5w30 FS is he best to use and some will say
the 10w40 Semi is good. I got some comma 5w30 from a local factor for £23 and the filter was only about £2.

Just done one, gen GM stuff cost me £4 for the filter and £8 for a bottle of 10W 40 semi synth oil (was on offer) but oil is oil really and a filter is a filter so I dont think what you use makes a incredibly huge difference

    Follow jam On Twitter
Oil £25-£50 (depending how good you want it)
    Oil filter £10
    Fuel filter £5

So no reason not to give it some TLC.
    Its a jam thing

use semi synthetic as fully you will find it will use a lot of as turbo needs a thicker oil as gets so hot it goes really thin

Vauxhall recommend 5W-30 fully synthetic for Astra from 2004 onwards.

The recommendation for earlier Astras was 10W-40 part-synthetic but they'll benefit from 5W-30 (less cold start wear, better fuel consumption and performance)
