    tyre ware

I have some aftermarket team dynamic 17" alloys with Toyo 215/40/17-T1-S tyres that i bought 6 month ago, I have had to change the wheels around becouse the fronts are getting close to legal limit but the rears are still looking new.

can anyone sugest any make of tyre that has simmilar grip to toyos (possibly a bit better in the wet, too many close shaves) but last much longer. I am also thinking about upgrading the tyre size to 215/45/17s but my astra is lowered on Koni sports suspension can anyone tell me if it will catch

    cheers Adz

Cant really telly tbh... Ffoeg might tell you about the Uniroyal ones as he has some... Reviews say the T1-R's last longer than the S's. But then again, the harder you drive the car the quicker the front will wear..

Have a search on google for the various reviews....

I've got Bridgestone Potenza RE0720s on mine, and I can't fault them in the wet or the dry. I've done about 12000 miles so far and they've probably got another 4-5k in them since I drive like a grandma now.

I've really no idea how long the Rainsports tend to last TBH, as I never bother as I just change them whenever they need changing. But they defo last longer than Goodyears, which I'm sure had some margarine in the compound they were that soft.

Rainsports are bloody good tyre in all conditions tho
