    Engine Cleaner

    Hi,

I fancy giving my engine a clean. Whats best to use to clean it up? I was going to just use some water with washing up liquid in it?

Certainly get a proper engine degreaser....much more suited to the job.

Just take care around any electrical connections - although they are water resistant to a point- you cant be too careful.

I,ve said before and I'll say it again, parafin brushed on works well, wipe or hose off and cheaper than tinned de-greasers. I've been using it for years with no problems.

gunk IS parrafin! the only thing with using that stuff is A) it's crap, it's been about for years and got no better and B) it stinks and makes the inside of your car smell too, it comes through the vents. i only use G101 from autosmart. it really is awesome.
