    FK camber settings

Rang up a garage today to get my camber + tracking sorted. They told me that they need to know the camber settings for the coilovers, so they know what to set the camber to. Does anyone with FK coilovers for the coupe have a sheet with camber settings on it.

I thought that the camber was just aligned using a laser set-up, so was a bit confused when he started asking what the camber should be set to.

The camber on my FK setup was just done to the spec my coupe should be from the factory

It's been like that for over 2 years now and has been fine with better tyre wear than my factory set up

Thats what i said to him on the phone, that i just want it adjusted so it is back to how it was originally. But he didn't really accept that and said he needs to know what camber to set it, and the coilovers should have a sheet with the settings on it. The thing is, if a sheet does exist how many camber settings does it show? As the camber would be different if the coilovers were set to 35mm, compared to 50mm or 75mm.

Problem is I have phoned about 5 different tyre places and none can do camber adjustments, and none knew of anywhere else that can.

As you say as soon as you play about with the height adjustment the camber settings will be out. It's why I left mine for a month until I got the height I wanted

I don't remember seeing any camber seetings in the coilover kit when I got it

    The car is 2001.

How was yours set up Andy, using lasers? I have never been to this garage before so maybe he does it a different way.
There is a tyre place in Northampton that defiantly has a laser set-up, so may have to go there, just a bit of a drive for something that seems fairly simple.

the OE setting is "-1 degree 10 minutes +/- 45 minutes"

As Sparks says - run it for a short period of time to give yourself chance to get a height that your happy with before getting it done

cheers ffoeg, that means nothing to me but hopefully the garage will be able to set it up with that.

May drop it a little more before i get it set-up, they have been on for a couple of weeks now and not had any problems with speed bumps - it actually clears speed bumps easier now!

arent the lasers just for tracking? if the coilover struts have no elongated holes, is the camber basically set at a certain level and that's what your stuck with unless you get bolts etc? Mark.
