    coupe turbo lowered

    right I no its been spoken about alot and ive read most of the treads, But im syill a little confused. I have a 2001 coupe turbo and im looking into lowereing it. not sure wether to do springs or coilovers yet but alot of ppl say the coupe is lowered 20mm anyway or this mite just be the early ones. is mine included in that?if i lower it 3omm will it do that or just 10mm? help still very confused

    It depends what springs you buy. If you get generic springs that fit all coupe's , they will look not as low on the turbo.

    If you get coilovers you can usually set the ride height.

    Eibach 30mm springs put it at the perfect height imo, not too high and not too low.

    Coilovers are the way forward if you want to set it to your tastes - you need to pay quite a bit more though of course.

    Think all coupes after 2000(?) have the same springs.

    thanks I just didnt want to buy the 30 / 30 eibachs and be disapointed? also some ppl say lower it 50 / 30 why is this and do eibach do these springs?Ive also heard some good things about koni dampers and eibach springs the more info the better!!!!

    not sure if the 50/30 kit is available for the coupe, may be hatch only. Giving LMF a ring would be your best bet. I have FK coilovers on mine and am pretty happy with the ride, they just make an annoying sound every so often when turning

    I do like the sound of the fk coilovers just not sure wether its worth spending the money.are most ppl lowering the sme all round or more at either the bk or front? I have a irmy front splitter so wont b able to go thet low will I?also what do you think to the vxr turbo is it worth it or get an aftermarket one?

    My coilovers are set lower at the back and the car sits level. The gap in the wheel arch is bigger at the front, but the side skirts sit parallel to the ground.

    I have a VXR turbo and unless your going to be getting a CS3+ map on the car it isn't really worth it IMO. I only got one as my original turbo went faulty and the VXR unit was cheaper than a standard KKK one.

    Buddy i was in exactlyu the same place u r now in jan,i did the 30mm eibach springs drop,it's perfect!
    Fully Spec'd Sleeper Coupe Turbo. OE bodywork, Courtenay FMIC, VXR Injectors, VXR afm, Milltek Exhaust, Stage 4 map, Cdti Airbox, Courtenay Top hat....
