    weird clutch control

    hi all

got an annoying prob with the car...sitting on a hilly junction today with car on clutch control and the revs wont sit at at a constant speed..their fluctuating like mad and i have to adjust the throttle like crazy to get proper clutch control...also noticed when the car warms up the gearchange is pretty jerky...espessialy in first.

thanks all...p.s its a 1.8 ecotec with drive by wire throttle.

Sounds like your clutch is slipping?

dont think the clutch is slipping matey.only really does when warmed up and at low revs..feels like fuel or spark starvation to me..e.g..sometimes when i try to set off in first gear the car does nothing..then all of a sudden the power comes in and kangeroo off...and the the gearchange is really jerky when the car is warm.
    anyone else shed any light??

know what you mean had it on a corsa, not an uncommon problem!
just brought a coupe today garage said they'd serviced and checked it but is slightly lumpy but revs on bite seem fine but similar kind of rev dropping, might clean out throttle body plus the dirt sticks more wen engine is warm ,give it a bash and see if theres a difference

sounds like your gearbox is leaking oil into the clutch to me, or the clutch is going. Just because it only does it when it's warmed up means nothing!
