Question look at my plugs ??

Whats your verdict on these plugs.

    with camera flash

    with out flash

had to swap them out because it started to misfire at full boost. It only started to do after a mad run with my mate in his Phase 3 Mk4 GSI and we did get a big heavy footed. missfire did slowy get worse over time. They were gapped to 0.7mm

The car gets used daily but because I only work 3-4 miles away it never gets pushed as it only just reaches running temp as I get to work.

I thought I had cooked a plug after my little bashing so decided to swap the plugs from BKR6EIX (as pictured above) to BKR7EIX a range colder. After fitting them yesterday the car is all better and going very well again But I will drop them out in a month or 2 to see how they are doing. I think I may have to take it for a decent run more often to blow the crap out lol

    Mmmmm

Its either a heat thing or its running too rich....

Looks like one of the cylinders is worse than the others too....

I'd have done exactly the same as you mate a step cooler running and see what happens. Drive the car hard for a month and post back

I am quite sure it is just to rich as I have spoke to Courtenay about it the other day. Because I work so close the car is still in cold start mode so is bunging etc fuel because of this. I hope during the summer months it will be fine.

But better to run a bit rich than lean lol
