    Hi Ben,

The 05 plate SRI's should have the check control built in. Have you checked with the dealership to make sure that it is included in the specifications?

With the display coming up no fucntion could either mean theres a problem with the sensors and requires dealer attention under warranty or it means that you haven't done enough milage for it to give you its estimates. Thats all they are mate as well just estimates. The ones on the Astra G's have been known to be + & - 15MPG on varying cars. IE shows 15miles left @ average rate of consumption and then dies due to having no fuel. Its not worth the weight it takes up TBH but as its always nice to have toys in the car to show off with definatly consult the dealership.

i ve ran out of juice on 24 to go, then put a can full in it then says 6 miles.

I have got a funny pic of my vectra on the motorway with 0 miles on it, dont trust the range as it works of your average driving style.

I can drop 2 miles on the range for every 1 you travel.

best working on the fuel guage if it moves you have juice.

Yes you use the left hand stering wheel control up and down it also pushes in, When i first got my Mk5 i hadn't got a clue how to use any of this..

Scroll through the trip with the up and down and enter or reset press and hold.

yeah i agree with the remaining fuel on the readout being an estimate , i stupidly fell foul of this a while back , 17 miles in the tank according to the trip , zero according to the gauge , 3 miles left to arrival ...no probs .... NO CHANCE more like lol , i ran out of diesel at the end of a dual carriagway at 7am , very embarrasing
