Pic request: The mystery driver side rubber grommet!!

    Hi all,

Today I have been mainly tucking my head into the driver side footwell and the engine bay trying to find the "mystery" rubber grommet to pass the live wire through, as I am gonna to fit my sub and amp next week.

HOWEVER!! Despite my best effort, I still haven't found it!

Can anyone shred some light please?

    Thanks!

    sounds dangerous that!

If u still cant find it - or u reckon its too much hassle....then why not save yourself some cable and drill a small hole behind the glovebox - pics in the FAQ and all over this forum. Save u from trailing wire over from the left to the right, thru the illusive spare grommet and so forth.

This way, the hole you'll drill is on the same side of the battery and will therefore keep things all on that side.

Failing that - get in that footwell again and contort ur self into a strange position and with a little help from a torch and the obligatory profanities your quest will be over.

silly question but your car is drive-by-wire isnt it? because if its cable throttle then there wont be a spare grommit as the throttle cable goes through it!

Ffoeg: Thanks! Having a read now.

GeordieBandit: Yes I will do that AS WELL, because my car PC is in the glovebox, and I will run another live wire to there.

Autosparks: Pics don't work there, probably dead link.

moley_2003: Car is defo fly by wire.

    Thanks!
