    Motul 15W-50W engine oil

    Hi guys can i use this oil for my astra 1.8 x18xe1 ? thx
    THE oil SPECS:
    API : SL/CF
    ACEA : A3/B3

    The API and ACEA specs are ok but the viscosity's too thick for UK use, however the GM guide for X18XE1 does show 15W-50 suitable for climates -15C up to +40C.

    10W-40 is the normal UK recommendation for that engine.
    Maintains:- Vectra Design 1.9CDTi
    Drives :- Hyundai Santa Fe

    iirc this member is from Oz - so unsure about how their dealers stand with oil etc.... personally Id say 10/40 but maybe the hotter climate may affect this

    I thought I remembered that tuyul kecil was from Oz where climate differences may lead to a different recommendation.

    yah im from Australia so i can use this thats awsome thx guys i relief i thought i can't use it. its very hot now in australia

    As mentioned.... We havent confirmed YES or NO that its the best oil to use.

    Considering we dont really know what Holden specify - youd be best consulting your manual or speaking with your Holden dealers direct.

    yup it does recommend me to use this type of oil in my handbook it says 10/40 or 15/50 .
