    bought new plates...

    not private ones... yet...

but i wanted some with a border and the euro GB on the side...

in doing so, i wanted them to be practically legal, i knew having my own slogan would nullify them slightly, mainly so little that if i got pulled it wouldnt really be noticed, or if it was, maybe overlooked...

i have the right font, spacing and everything...

but i ticked the box for honeycomb...

i thought (for some reason) that honeycomb plates were legal...

plates came today, and look awesome (compared to the standard ones) but i just read up and realised honeycomb are illegal...

do you think its something i would get pulled for?

they are perfectly legible... reckon i'd get pulled for them?

i havent put them on the car yet...

what would the consequences be if i got stopped.

i have never been stopped and everything on my car is kosher, insurance, tyres, etc...

if theres no points involved in it, and its just a fine/producer, then i might risk it and if i get stopped, i will change them without a doubt.

    what you reckon?

If your car's modded then you will probably get pulled.

to be honest mate i wouldn't worry about it. my mate ahs a honeycomb pattern on his plates and he has never got pulled (they are on a 2.0 throttle bodied Nova). I also had different logos on the side of my reg plates on previous cars and never had any problems. You would be very very unlucky to get pulled for it. i think they just let it go around our area mate.

Wouldn't worry about it too much - my plates are technically illegal, and they've passed MOT and I've not been stopped once in 14 months.

I was advised by a policeman that it would be a £30 fine 'if he caught me'. Nuff said.

Also my car passed MOT with them on at Vx dealership.

Tbh, as long as your font and spacing is ok it would have to be a real arse of a copper to bother you.

thats the thing... the plate is almost spot on for being legal..

my plates at the minute are plain with the correct lettering and spacing, but nothing else, no comany or anything...

so my new plates i thought would be okay with my web address at the bottom of them (not that anyone will actually look at it from seeing my number plate).

then i added honeycomb coz i like the look of it and for some reason thought it was more reflective, but still legal, turns out its not though.

so im gonna go for it, and if i ever get pulled, i'll change them without questioning it methinks.
