Talking coilovers fitting day. plus what grease?

getting coilovers fitted 2day. the fk konigsport so hoping 2 drop it quite a bit as 18's and standard suspesnion does that usual vaux trick of being like a boat on corners. so gona try maybe 60/40mm(so just 40/20 in reality) drop to level it out and see how it is after that, may go lower, depending on clearance on the front
hope 2 get some piccies up later.
but any tips what grease to use for the threads?

To stop them rusting? What about a can of wax oil, its good for the rest of your chassis, so why not the damper threads! Probably look better than a load of grease and might not readily atract dirt like grease too.

not sure which grease, just make sure you use it. I forgot to on mine when fitted, and the fronts are now seized . Glob a ton of the stuff on there.

IIRC The highsports are just steel coilovers whereas the silverline and the silverlineXs are stainless steel. Other than that i don't know what grease to use!! I kinda wondering the same too as i'm about to order some FK highsports i think.

How much they costing you mate? I bought stainless eibachs for £450 delivered from germany, they arrived in 3 days. They look amazing, havent got em on the car yet as its in the shop, so can't say about the ride, but knowing eibach theyre bound to be good.

Dinitrol wax. Grease will wash off within days.

Use the black Dinitrol underbody sealant. It'll stay 100% under there, but it's also soft enough to allow you to move the threads when required. I did under my arches with Dinitrol 4941. Over a year later it's still like the day I put it on.

Details at: http://www.dinitrol.com/index.php?id=52&subcatid=9&L=1 - you should be able to get it at any good local motorfactors.
