    courtenay or regal?

im sure this has probably been covered on here at least a million times, but are there any particular advantages for each? What are the general opinions and experiences from people on here?

    Many thanks, JP

Both are reputable companies, both have similar services available.

At the end of the day you are better of going to the one that is nearer to you. regal being southampton, courtenay being Norfolk. If you go to the nearest you wont have far to travel if you have any problems.

what is it that you are looking for?

Wait a few weeks and see what http://www.dapdevelopments.co.uk/ have to offer when it opens in Feb07

It's being run by Dave Pearce formerly of 888 Engineering (davidof on AS), who's going solo and setting up in Huddersfield

well basically im thinking of spending about £600 (give or take a bit). I want to go for phase 1 and get a peformance front pipe fitted.

At the moment i have airbox mods with blueflame cat back. i dont really want to go too mad because i dont want to spend to much money yet. I think 600ish seems do-able

    wot do you think?

Having met Dave, I would say he`ll be as good if not better than either Courtenay or Regal.

Having said that, if you live down south, the best place to go would be v-tuning ..... www.v-tuning.com never heard a bad word said about them

As Ffeog said wait and see what Dave Peace has to offer, Ill probably be getting him to do some work on the van whens he;s set up (given he built it, it seems the right way ahead). But try and get a tuner as close as possible, as if you have any problems it makes life a lot easier. All the big tuners regal/courtenay/thorney/dap etc. are all reputable and you cant really go wrong with any off them. Their maps are all well proven and well documented.
