    My car is not well

Hi guys i have a astra g 1.6 sxi 2002 and as i was going to work 2 things happened that shouldn't off.

    1) as i was going up the hill approaching traffic lights my car started shuddering for no reason.

    2) as i stopped at the traffic lights staionary i noticed my speedo needle just shot straight up to 100mph and back down for no reason, weird i thought so lights change and carried on driving eveything seem fine from there.

anyone know why it's done this? any help appreciated thanks

P.S the car is on 36,500 miles and cam belt has been changed

Sounds like an electronic component or sensor. Could be AFM, lambda (although probably a fault code/light would have come up on the dash) or maybe coil pack.

the thing was no lights showed up on dash when shuddering or when car stopped at lights.

when i had my clio the same thing happened but lights came on and the car just cut out but nothing is happening in the astra so not sure it if would be the same problem.
