    y plate 2001 coupe turbo sports cat and pipe question

    will i have to get a different pre cat pipe to the astra gsi mk4?
    heard that they are all in one or sumthing?

    any advice apreciated

    Its the same pre-cat if you have a one piece or a 2 piece set-up so the price is the same when buying an aftermarket de-cat

    Only problem is if you have a one piece section you will need to either

    a) get a flange made up/welded on the existing cat on the car to 'mate' it to the new single piece de-cat

    or

    b)buy a sports cat and that will then connect to the new pre-cat.

    EDIT
    to answer your original question, no you won't there is only one type of de-cat available.

    i got all in one on my 2002, bought a precat and found out only had one piece so having sports cat and the precat fitted friday

    Yeah there is only one type, if your coupe is like mine was (mine was a 2001 X) then it will have the one piece cat and require welding.
