    TC ABS and SPEEDO problem

Hey, I have posted about this before so im sorry for the repeat, but the problem has since developed.

Basically, the ABS and traction control lights have been coming on, thus the ABS and traction control is turned off. At first the was very rare, happened like once a month, so it wasn’t bothering me too much, but recently it is happening all the time, and it’s a bad time of year to be without them. Also when they do come on, my Speedo has started to have fits, where it stops reading at all, and the jumps back up to what speed im doing, it now flickers quite often. This only happens when the ABS and TC lights are on. Are the TC, ABS and speedo linked?

I am going to take it to a local Auto Elec, but before I do so does anyone know anything it mite be, or anything to check? I have checked the connections at all 4 wheels and they seem fine, are there any others? Tnx for the help.

TC, ABS and speedo are all linked because the speedo takes it's signal from on of the front ABS sensor, which seems to have gone faulty. Bad news is the sensor is integral with the hub bearing and quite expensive.

As said above really a front hub ABS sensor will be faulty causing the problem

WD40 doesn't conduct electricity, and yet it can drive water out and remove surface rust to a certain extend. But be careful, don't let any of it get to the caliper/pads/disc.

Cheers for the info guys. Unfortunately there wasn’t much to clean, the connections looked spotless. I guess it must be integral. I take it that the actual sensor is built into the hub? So I would need a new hub to solve this?

Yeah unfortunatly you will need the whole hub

Check out LMF or autovaux for the part rather than vauxhall
