    Mk3 Astra 1.6 SZR stalling

My Astra F R-plate stalls after about 1 minute from cold and then if I can get it started which is a struggle the revs stay really high for quite a while at which point I have to turn the engine off and back on to get the car to run normally.
I know this has been covered a lot on here but most people describe their stalling when the engine is warm but mine seems to be just after starting from cold. Also the engine temp gauge never seems to get too much above the minimum.
Could this also be the engine temp sensor ?

more likely to be the Idle Stepper Motor - some say clean it out but I replaced mine as its hard to tell if its working or not. (same engine albeit on the Mk4)

Could be the Coolant Temp Sensor but Id bet its the above.

I got mine for about £25 new for a pattern part - can supply the contact if ur interested.

would be advisory to give the throttle body and EGR a damn good cleaning with carb cleaner while ur at it

Heres the exact one you'll need : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...0%3D%26fvi%3D1

Dont just click buy it now - unless u want to that is! But I offered £25 and it was accepted.... either way its still better than the £80 or so Vx charge.

Well I've had the temp sensor changed today and it seems to have done the trick. Performance seems better too. Mind you, moving the floor mat off the accelerator stopper might have given me a few extra bhp !!!
