    First outing of 2007

As its been months since we have been out for a random drive (road trips for parts etc aside), we decided that being the 2nd of January, most of the cars that we had broken were now fixed (sort of) and all being bored of this festive shite, we would pile in the cars and go for a run North, so in the end 3 of us (myself ally and Turbodave.....the rest had "family stuff") all arranged to meet at 11am in Dunfermline to head north.....this immediately hit problems as Turbodave had been out waving his glowsticks at Ultrasonic the night before and was still struggling to pick up a coffee cup let alone pilot a 300tonne Volvo up the road, so he became the vans designated co-pilot.

    Few pictures before leaving:

    Daves Volvo:

Take note of the badge, there will be a story behind this later in the year

    Allys Saab:

    The Van:

Of up some of Dunfermlines major roads:

For those that know the area, we went up the back end of Dunfermline through by Saline and across past the resevoir to Gleneagles and then onto Crieff, we then headed along to Loch Earnhead.

After and hour or so it was time for a quick lunch stop:

Dave giving Ally a visual imiage of the bird he pulled last night:

From there we went to the end of the road and turned right too eh North I beleive:

Then it was time for a Pee-break:

Ally was desperate and makes a cross legged run for it:

Dave gets all excited at the thought of old steamers:

Then stand back and realises its boats and not ugly old females being reffered to :

We then came back down the A9 past Dunkeld and Perth then onto the M90 for Dunfermline and back to the pub at Dulloch park, all in it was around 160mile round trip. Superb day out and the first of many for this year.

Ohhh what happened to the Omega?? I guess the 9-5 feels pretty similar.

The van must turn some heads Dave, love it

    Loving the van a lot.

Right into the powerful big swedish barges too - great cars.

MatG - van performed very well, there are a couple of running niggles needing looked at, but from 3,000rpm it pulls really hard, it is also very well suited to the back roads as well, very well planted, only problem was traction in low gears with the roads being wet.

Jimmy - Ally sold the Omega around 6-months ago now and replaced it with the Saab its a nice bit of kit just needs a bit extra power being the 150bhp version
