    grey smoke on idle

    sometimes my mk4 astra gsi turbo smokes on idle it boosts fine and there are no signs of head gasket going i think it may be turbo seals on way out anyone had any sim probs cheer for help

    not normally grey but if water does run through the turbo so if it was those seals gone then yes it would so are you loosing any water

    its not un common to use oilt to be honest especially if thin fully synthetic,it probably is on its way out so might be a good time to think about a replacement and the better and cheaper is the vxr turbo
    by abut £200 cheaper

    ive noticed mine doing that a couple of times over the last few months and thought it was the turbo seals but not 2 bothered as im planning on getting the vxr turbo

    i have like grey smoke coming out front end,but cant be my selas as have a new vxr turbo fitted,not losing water either. so i havent really bothered about it. still like 2 know what is causing it though,lol

    it must just be the cold temps outside and the hot turbo creating alot of steam and condensation inside the zorst
