    My Coupe Now with Eibach Shocks and Springs

    Had my coupe lowered yesterday with Eibach shocks and springs. What a difference itís made to the handling. Itís so much better than my lowered Corsa was. Where the Corsa use to under steer the Astra feels like itís on rails!

    What I thought was unusual was when I rang up LMF to buy the shocks and springs I was told not to bother with the shocks as the springs are so good by themselves. Strange for a company to turn down an extra 300 pounds.

    First here is a 'before' pic;

    and here are the after pics;

    As expected the drop at the front isn't that noticeable but I knew that before buying the kit (Many weeks of research and pic hunting).

    The springs cost 115, the shocks were 300 and then a further 100 pounds to have the kit fitted at a local garage.

    Yeah the standard 17's with 30/30 springs. It's mainly the back that has been visibly lowered. Although the pictures do make it look a little higher than it really is.

    The mudflaps were on the car when I bought it. The car was originally owned by a vauxhall dealer so it had all the vauxhalls mats, mudflaps ect added

    You can buy those flaps from Vx, search on here for "moulded mud flaps" and you should find the part numbers.

    Car looks good mate - very level now. You tried putting 2 bloaters in the back yet??

    I saw your Coupe sometime last year at a Swansea cruise, looked really low.

    It does look lower in real life and the ride isn't as crashy as my 60mm corsa was.

    I wouldn't mind getting a front Steinmetz splitter but I can't seem to find any decent pics of it without the 'side flippers' attached.
