    Disc and pad recommendations?

Im due to get some new pads soon and my disc's could probably do with being renewed too, so was wondering what you guys had previously used. I believe the feredo pads fitted to the 888 are pretty good?

What sort of use are you looking from them? Do you do track days? Have a 'Fast road' driving style? oh and what car amnd budget are you on? Ta!

I have 308's conversion on my 2.0 Sri (std vaux pads & discs) and managed to overheat the brakes last night whilst doing a bit of 'spirited' driving. So are you after some thing a bit more than standard?

(ps. I did let my brakes cool down :-D )

I have Red.Dot 20 groove discs and greenstuff brake pads all round, nice strong combination over standard.

you can get SAAB 'Vigen' (sp?) discs which have about 6 grooves in them which are a direct fit I believe and then some greenstuff pads all round that may suit your needs.

Take a look at this thread Matt - covered a few weeks ago.

    http://www.m1gst.com/vb/showthread.php?t=86263

The 888 coupe pads are Ferodo DS2500 fast road pads - very, very good - not sure where you can get them from though and they are expensive from vaux if you manage to get them from there.

Motorsport World sell the Ferodo Ds2500 pads for the Astra Mk4. The ones you want as far as I can make out is the FCP1295H they cost £114.01 per set though inc VAT but not sure if P&P is included.

I've got Ferodo DS2500s in my Brembos and they are great pads, very very grippy and never seem to fade.
