    How much lower is GSi???

First of all hello! i am new here, having used the site however for many months as a non member!

I was wondering if anybody can clear up the issue of how much lower the standard GSI is than other astras?

I have read that it was 20mm lower front and rear, but have also read it was ONLY lowered 20mm at the front aswell!?

With my GSi it does appear that on a flat surface the front is lower than the rear! My brother has a 1998 mk4 astra 1.4 with 17" on aswell, i measured the arch gap at the rear and it was the same as my GSi! The front of my car is 10mm lower than his however. Hus suspension is totally standaed and we have the same brand of tyres with similar tread depth.

From what i have seen i am swayed with the opinion that the GSi was only lowered at the front but would like this clearing up! lol

SXI, sri, gsi, coupe/conv/turbos were 20mm lower than club models for example. lowered front and back but the front does sit slightly lower you are correct!

I thought this too but i have the 1.8 sxi on a w reg, however it didnt have the smoked lights (front and back) silver centre console and sits the same height as the club's

did the early sxi's not get the extra lowered suspension cos mine sits like a monster truck on the 17s

ok, thanks so its not just me that thinks its lower at the front! I am quite happy with how my standard GSi sits at the front but the rear arch gap is offending me! Is it unheard of just to drop the suspension at the rear??

thats what mine looks like it did sit lower at the front as standard, imo a 50/30 drop is perfect.

according to the auto watch magazine review, only the gsi is lowered, and it is only by 10mm. But i know for a fact that the front of mine is lower than the back beacuse when its parked outside the front wall i have a perfectly flat surface to gauge by ie top of wall, and the rear is at least 20mm higher than front. mite have picture somewhere.....

Its definately 20mm lower than a standard astra... I also find the rear too high standard but I catch the front bumper in car parks 'standard'!! I'd never go the eibach sportline springs I just think they will be miles too low! The eibach pro springs with 10mm lower at front will be more than enough.
