i got an induction kit over the weekend as a xmas present.
its an enclosed type as i know about the heatsoak on astra's but its a enclosed cone filter, and a sealed cold air ducting pipe that i can fit my arm down so there is plenty of cool air getting in...
the question i have is can you have too much cold air going in? or similar?
i ask because my car has always ran at about 90'c. but the last day at idle it still does yet when i stick the foot to the floor the temprature drops to about 80'c. it takes 2:30 mins at about 40mph accelerating and decelerating down a 40 mph country road..from 90'c - 80'c.the temprature outside is higher than it was before xmas and car is showing 10'c outside appossed to the 2'c a few days ago. also serviced my car on christmas day new plugs and oil and filter...(im not a xmas person so had been planned to do it xmas day when the fam is round so i could get out the house)
