    Thermostat help please

Was wondering if anyone knows if the thermostat should allow water to run through the system even on a cold start? On all my other cars it only pumps the water round after a few minutes. The mrs noticed it when she topped up the washer fluid.

    Thanks

When fully cold the stat should be fully shut and not letting any water thru until it starts to warm up and open slightly IMO. Merry Christmas!!!

    ^^^^ Not really !!

Some coolant flows even when the thermostat is fully shut. The coolant circuit to the heater and throttle body are always open.

You should always see coolant coming out of the throttle body return into the coolant header tank.
