My ACT keeps beeping at me

Recently when i park up my car starts to beep 5 times at me? I know its not my toad alarm as i don't have the sounder fitted at the mo. Doesn't do it all the time, just some of the time. Any one know what this means? low battery or something?

Have you still got the factory fit alarm? If so it sounds like the power sounder is on it's way out

Check the how to's, for gen on sorting it

how can you not use it? It's part and parcel of the OE central locking ecu.

Either way, it's got batteries in it and when they are fading/dying it starts to tell you via the bleeping

I use my toad alarm to lock the car, hence i don't touch the factory one.

Around 55 quid from vaux iirc. Once the rechargeable batteries start to fail it gives the beeps - then it'll start going of randomly as it is detecting a voltage drop.

You used to be able to replace the batteries (although the sounder is a 'sealed unit') - but I don't think that they are available anymore. Sometimes taking it to bits and cleaning the corroded terminals works.

Had a look on www.cellpacksolutions.com and can''t seem to find them, imagine im going to have to rip them open to do it. Might just get a new power sounder if i can't get the batteries through them. Cheers for your info though guys.

Two batterys on order, A-S comes to the rescue again. The company only have about 15 of these batterys left in stock now and the manufacter has stopping producing them, so might be an idea to get some soon.
